Sabrina is off the ventilator since yesterday afternoon and doing very well with her sats (mid 80's), she still has a canula but hope that will also be gone soon. We started giving her pedialyte through the night and did very well, so in the morning they let me give her milk and is tolerating it very good, the only thing is that because she was so hungry her sats went lower when she was feeding because she prefered sucking over breathing, so they told me to take the bottle out after 2oz and she got really mad and then they had to give her some morphine to calm her.
They also turned off the pacemaker, they used it for 24hrs for a little arrhythmia that they said was very benign and normal for babies after surgery, her heart has been working good and strong, she received some blood too, so she could have more to oxygenate.
Right now I came to the hotel to rest and my husband and family are with her, they tell me that she has taken 4oz more! yey! but still very cranky! who can blame her!
The plan is to take 1 of her lines out and also 1 of her 2 chest tubes.
Please keep the prayers coming so she recovers well and with less pain.

Hi! My name is Cindy Castillo. My husband is from Puebla. We were living in Mexico (Monterrey) for 6 years and then decided to move back to Canada where I am from. I was pregnant when we came and had no idea there was something wrong with our baby. In Canada we found out that she had two severe heart problems. They tried to fix them but couldn't and she had to be treated as an HLHS baby. She had the Norwood in November and the Glenn in March and is now doing so well. My husband has had a very hard time adjusting to life here and often wants to go back to Mexico but I do not want to go back as I do not know if they will know how to treat our daughter. I would love to be in touch with you. My email address is jcscastillo@canada.com. I would love to be in contact with you! Cindy
